Day one in Lisbon

I recently spent a lovely long weekend in Lisbon and I absolutely fell in love with the city. The weather wasn't as good as we expected, but we made the best out of the whole situation (mainly with a great umbrella) and made sure we had a lovely holiday.

Because of the weather, my fashion choices were more on the practical side, than actually being fashionable. I was told beforehand, because of all the hills, stairs and cobbles, not to wear heels at all, and I'm so glad I took that advice.

Lisbon is a city that's meant to be seen by foot - it's such a perfect place to just walk around, get lost and discover really cool place.

Day one consisted of:
  • Elevador de Santa Justa
  • Walking around Barrio Alto
  • Checking out all the trams and funiculars
  • Pink Street
  • Praca Do Commercio
  • Time Out Market - the only thing in Lisbon I wouldn't recommend
  • Belem Tower
  • LX Factory - possible one of the coolest places I've ever been, with the best book shop ever (see below)

Wearing:
Jacket - All Saints
Jumper / Hat - ASOS
Jeans - Dorothy Perkins
Shoes - H&M
Scarf - Accessorize

Have you visited Lisbon before?

I really do feel like I have to get back to Lisbon soon. Although I saw all the major tourist attractions like the Torre de Belem and Castelo de Sao Jorge, I think I missed a lot of the cooler parts that are a bit more hidden.
