Final day in Guadeloupe

I'm a bit sad that I've finished posting about my holiday in Guadeloupe. It really was a once in a lifetime kinda trip and I have so many amazing memories and pictures from it.

For our final day, we took another day trip to one of the smaller islands nearby: Marie Galante, and it was stunning. We nearly couldn't go: we thought we had tickets booked for the ferry but last minute, the tour guide called to say that they hadn't been confirmed, so the night before, we had to drive around looking for a tour operator who could help. With a bit of luck, we did and it was organised perfectly.

The island was so special, and had such a long history, where we learnt a lot about the making of rum, but also about the slave trade - it was an amazing day of learning.
