Guadeloupe Day 2

As mentioned in my last post, Guadeloupe was one of my most favourite trips ever. What I loved about it the most was just how carefree I managed to be - I didn't do any make up for the week, and also didn't go near a pair of straighteners - which is unusual for me. But I loved it, and hope to carry this on in my actual life!

On day 2, we explored the other side of the island - where all the forests and waterfalls were. Unfortunately, there were a few tragic hurricanes in the run up to the holiday so a lot of this side of the island was shut, and there were quite a few things which we still managed to do.

We started at the Rum museum - easily one of the best, funniest, museums I've ever been too. I definitely recommend it if you ever find yourself in Guadeloupe.

We then went to a town called Sainte Rose and explored all the surrounding beaches - I think we did another 5 or 6 beaches on this day. But what was really special about this day was that it was the first time I ever went snorkelling and I absolutely fell in love with the hobby.

A whole week without hair and make-up can be so liberating! Since I work from home, I get to do it quite a lot and it's my favourite - plus it makes times when I do get done up a lot more special.

Guadeloupe looks like paradise!
