Another night, Another band

As you know, Susie and I LOVE live music, and are always at some kind of a gig. On Tuesday night, 4 bands we liked were playing: The Lines, Foster The People, Scoundrels and Mona. After much deliberation, we decided to go see The Lines, at the Hoxton Bar and Kitchen.
We saw them live a few months ago, when they were supporting Funeral Party and they were fantastic live. We also met them before their Camden Crawl gig, and they were really lovely.

We got to hang out with the guys and their awesome photographer, Andrew, and have a few drinks beforehand.

They were absolutely fantastic live and did such a great set. Susie and I love the album, so it was great to sing along, and the crowd was so fun and enthusiastic!

We did have to shoot off a tad early, as Susie won tickets to a Mona after party!!! If you've spoken to me at all recently, or seen any of my tweets these last few months, you'd have already realised that I am so obsessed with Mona. I actually freaked out when I found out. They're definitely one of my favourite bands at the moment, and I rushed out to buy the album as soon as it was out, on Monday. I've had it on repeat and it's such a great album. Definitely a contender for Album of the Year. It's seriously THAT good.

Anyway, we rushed off to the Undersolo in Camden to catch their afterparty. I did do something not normal though. When the bouncers asked how old I was, without thinking, I said 18. Why I said that is beyond me!! I am actually 22 and quickly corrected myself, while the bouncers laughed at me. Anyway, we got in. It was slightly more crowded than I expected it to be, and spotting the band proved harder than I thought as well. We followed someone who we thought was in the band before bumping into Nick Brown, the incredible lead singer...well we stood behind him, and Susie tapped him on the shoulder.
He was quite nice, even if absolutely wasted, and I got a photo and managed to get my CD signed by him.
(Thanks Susie for this first pic and the one of me above!)

We didn't stay to try and meet the rest of the band, as I was having a Cinderella moment (thanks mum), but I guess Nick was the only one I really wanted to meet.
I'm quite excited to see them live now. We have tickets for them supporting Kings of Leon and they're also playing Reading.

Sherin xx
