On Sunday, we got a few cars and took a family trip to the beach. Living in London means that I very rarly get to see the seaside, so it's always really nice to go there. London's been very cold lately, so we were a bit apprehensive to go, but the weather really cleared up and it ended up being one of the nicest, sunniest days that we've seen in a while.
Although, as usual, there was no sand, but only pebbles on the 'beach', it was nice to sit by the sea and have a nice family picnic.
Below are the aunts I often complain about. About half the family was behind us, thinking that they were in the picture as well, but when my aunts see a camera, there's no hope for anyone else, hehe.
And as per usual, there was a lot of rain. Luckily, we managed the whole day with little rain, towards the end, it really chucked it down, which did give way for some pretty cool pictures.
I really was stumped at what to wear! I settled for a beanie hat (which I've been living in so far this season) and jeans, with boots.
What would you recommend wearing to a cold day at the beach?

must have been freezing xxxx
For a cold day at the beach.. something long and flowing. Sea-wind whipping fabric is pretty fabulous.
What beach did you go to?? Parkas are supposed to be coming back to fashion but I could never wear one because it reminds me of the boy in East is East!! lol
I reckon you got the cold day at a beach look nailed! x
I'd go for a jacket+boots look, too. Although, I've never had to spend a cold day at the beach. :D
Sounds sooo great!

You look adorable Sherin! I love the post! I love the beach as well, but I live in the middle of the dessert and hardly get to see it. I miss water though. :( Stupid utah.
Have a great day! xoxo Annie
Gah! you and your family are so adorable, Sherin! I think I would choose a similar ensemble for a cold day at the beach - boots, chunky sweaters, and skinny jeans!! :)
That's definitely the prefect outfit for the beach in the UK! I always go for sensible shoes, thick tights and lots of layers. Then I sit on the beach and eat chips!
awe, i love the beach! it's so strange seeing you there with layers of winter clothes-- I recently spent the weekend beach sweating it out in a bikini! such different worlds we live in! <3
oh, that pic with you and your aunts is lovely. You're lucky to have such a close family. xx
Aw, looks like you had a great time. I'm currently in Bournemouth at the moment (my hometown), but am heading back to London tomorrow. Has been lovely seeing the seaside! x
Your aunts seem like they would be a fun bunch to hang around! They look pretty too!

You look fabulous in that blue lady! I always bring a scarf with me when it's chilly at the beach!
It would be freezing.. but looks like so much fun

I would wear a big hoodie so I could hide in the hood. :) But your blue coat is also amazing!
Beautiful photos! I'm sorry it was so chilly for you all, but it does look like despite the temperature, it was a lovely day. I'm glad your family had a great time and looking at that photo of your aunts made me smile because they look like so much fun. :)
