Sunday Special's: 03/10/2010 + GIVEAWAY

So, it is officially October. I can't believe how quickly time goes by: pretty soon we'll be Christmas shopping. Anyway, I have a pretty huge Sunday Specials this week.

Firstly: It's giveaway time!! This time, it's for a £35 gift voucher to use at any of CSN's UK websites. CSN is an amazing store that sells pretty much everything, from gorgeous wardrobes to chic lighting pieces.
To be in a chance of winning, just let me know what type of furniture you would buy from the website and why you need it.
The competition will run for one week, and is UK Only!

Project D, Dannii Minogues line, have  just put this bag up for sale, at just £35. Isn't it amazing? You can see more of the collection here.

Shoe company, Sarenza, are hosting a running in heels contest, on the 9th October, at London's Truman Brewery, with the grand final taking place in Paris, in November.
The Sarenza High Heel Race is renowned in France and Sarenza are officially brinking it to the UK, with races around the country. This year, to celebrate the launch of Sarenza in the UK, there will be 16 French teams facing 16 English teams.
So on the 9th,  from 2-8pm, women will be running in heels along a 15m pink Sarenza track.
The winners will be able to qualify for the Parisian final and the prize of £2500 worth of shoes. And contestants at the London heat will also be able to compete for a £1000 voucher for Sarenza.
This seriously all sounds like so much fun! I would love to take part. You can register here, or make it to the Truman Brewery car park on the 9th October.

There is a new, unlikely, designer in town: Cardiff University's Arcitecture professor, Richard Weston, has found a way to magnify, scan and print hidden patterns found in rocks to produce unique designs to create scarves and dresses: the scarves are now available at Liberty and the dresses have been named as "Frocks from Rocks", with a special exhibition taking place in Cardiff, at the Morgan Arcade, from the 2nd - 16th October. There will also be a VIP reception on the 5th, which will include special guest Sian Lloyd.

Finally, came out with some great stats during London Fashion Week, to promote their new site: Confused Nation. There are some really interesting stats: Apparently over half of us are worried about being inappropriately dressed and 67% of us are confused about the term 'smart/casual'. I don't know about you guys, but I never know how to dress when the dress code is smart casual. Stats also show that 66% of the UK are confused about what the latest trends are and 34% of us are confused about what to wear to important dinner events. This is definitley a huge shock, considering that London is one of the places known for it's keen fashion sense. And, more interestingly, London, Liverpoolm Manchester and Leeds were most confused about LFW!!
Also, apparently the most confused person in Britain is a 17 year old girl, from Cardiff, and the stats also show that confusion decreases with age, as people gain experience and confidence.
Confused Nation was launched to directly to help people deal with such confusion and decision crisis, with advice from psychologist Dr Peter Collett.
So, let me know: what does smart/casual mean to you? I can't be the only person confused about it.

Hope you all have a nice and relaxing Sunday.

Sherin xx
