Sunday Specials: 05/09/2010

I feel like I haven't done a Sunday Specials in ages, so have put a nice, full one together.

Eeeep, can you guys believe it's September already. Before you know it, all the leaves will have fallen, leaving us with bare trees, while we're all cozied up in fabulous boots and chunky knits.
My-Wardrobe, in particular, have some amazing boots, from the likes of Acne and Mini Market.
The two amazing babies above are from Acne and Mentor. Love them!!!

And what else is so special about September?? It's Fashion Week's of course. Official sponsors of LFW, Mercedes-Benz have once again collaborated with fashion journalist, Sasha Wilkins, aka Liberty London Girl, who will be posting weeklt on the LFW blog from Mercedes-Benz, as well as doing guest tweets from catwalk shoes.
There will also be a Mercedes-Benz Car Boot-ique. It'll be a special online auction, with a collection of unique and limited edition pieces donated by leading designers. I'm, personally, really excited about this and can't wait to get bidding.

And more details about one of my personal favourite band: The Like. Their single, Wishing He Was Dead, was released on Monday, with their album, Release Me, coming out tomorrow. They absolutely rocked it up at Reading and Leeds last weekend and are officially going on tour, across the UK, after doing a tour supporting The Strokes.

They released their first album in 2006, so the second album has definitely been long awaited and the product of a lot of hard work and experience.

Check out some really cool backstage pictures of them at Leeds here.

If you remember, I wrote an article about fashion and technology, and HP's work in particular. Well, HP Curates has just launched a Facebook page and have a weekly feature called 'Fashion Friday'. Every Friday, they'll be giving away amazing items, so Like them and stay tuned.

Fello Blogger, Sophie, from  Diary of a Young Designer designs the most amazing headbands with her line: FunnyPeopleCo. She's just launched a 'School-Coming' Collection and the collection is amazing. They are fun nautical pieces, with a 40's and 50's vintage vibe to them. And the best part: they're very affordable, with prices from $8!! So check out their Etsy page.

Also, Tesco's AW collection is due out soon, and here's a sneak peek form the press day they did a few months ago. If you look carefully and closely, you can see me sitting at the side (I'm wearing a blue and white dress!)

Finally, something from work. I did promise myself not to post to much about my work on the blog, but we're having such a great competition for bloggers. In honour of London Fashion Week, Nolcha is hosting an exclusive pampering session on the 20th. All you need to do to enter is email me at work ( and explain why you deserve the pampering session.

Yup, I see you Sherin in 0:58 and I think 1:28 (not sure). ;) Wow, the collection is awesome! How I wish I´m that slim to be able to wear those bulky sweaters and knitted jackets.
