New Look S/S 2010 Press Launch Part 2

On Monday, I started my post about the new Spring/Summer 2010 collection at New Look. There was far too much to say for one post, so here's part 2!

When it comes to style, there are very few things that both Leia and myself agree on. But this collection was one of those few things. We both simply loved the Cupcake collection! It probably was both our favourites. There were a lot of polka dots and bows, as well as some chiffon, in the form of a cute skirt and dress (only an hour before we saw this collection, I was telling Leia that I wanted a nice chiffon dress for the summer).
There was also a 1920's vibe to the collection with a flapper dress and flapper style top, as well as a Chanel inspired cardigan.

On my wishlist: the polka dot shoes, the monochrome Chanel-esque cardigan and skirt, and the polka dot trench that I am holding up in one of the pictures.

I seriously had no idea how much I loved this collection, until I had a look at the photos. It was another collection that leaned towards a rock chic look, and featured lots of reds and blacks. It was very sexy and had a few exposed/busty style tops and bows on shoes. I loved the dress thats pictured below. Its another thing I'm going to buy when the collection hits the stores.

Very fun and very colourful. Enjoy the pictures and I can't wait to be hanging in these next summer.

The menswear was really cool. I'm dying to find a guy who wears stuff like this. There were fedora hats, very cool sunglasses and even a bow tie. The look was quite preppy, with a slight direction towards Chuck (Gossip Girl).

I par
ticularly loved the shoes they had. There was a pair that looked a tad like a pair of Toms and they looked really cool.

Because a picture is worth a thousand words, I'll show you some of the pictures of the accessories.
Jewellery was big and sparkly. There were lots of layered necklaces, in silver, and big statement pieces as well. It really was all about standing out with the bling. I particularly love teh tiger set thats at the bottom.
The bags were big as well, with a lot of leather and a lot of studs. But one thing that I noticed with the bags and jewellery that there was a lot of ethnic pieces, that we were seeing over the summer. I'm so glad that this trend isn't over.

Some of these items are going to be stocked in store starting from January. I can't wait till they arrive; the only question is: how am I going to stop myself from buying everything from the Bloom and Cupcake collections?!

(and Leia) xx

P.S. Tamara from I Want That Look featured on of you my looks on her blog. She did an amazing job playing around with it. Check it out.

P.P. S. By the time you guys read this, I'll be on a plane.
I'm on holiday for the next two weeks, and I doubt I'll have access to much internet. Hopefully I'll get a chance to keep up to date with all your lovely blogs, but if I can't, bye for now. I do have a lot of interesting posts scheduled though.
