Dream Weekend in Paris: Sherin

I'm going on holiday next week. Its not to Paris, but I thought I'd describe my dream trip to Paris, if I had 1000 Euros to spend.
Paris is one of the greatest cities in the world. There is so much to do there, and one can never be bored. I've been there a few times, but never for more than a weekend, so there are a few things which I haven't done at all, which I'd love to do. Anyway, heres my dream weekend. I'm such a tourist on holiday, so I waste no time and fill my trips with as much as possible. My aim would be to use the many years of French I studied and not to speak English at all.
Firstly, here is my Parisian outfit. I'll be going in the winter, so I want to be wrapped up nice and warm.
Paris dream trip

I'll be taking the Eurostar from London to Paris, so I'll be getting to Gard De Nord Station. For those of you who haven't had the chance to see it, its a beautiful station and the architecture of it is amazing. So I'll get there quite early in the morning and I would buy a train ticket for the day: by far the easiest way to get around Paris, I would then rush to the Hotel, drop my bags and re-do my make up.
Having done this, I would make my way to Montmarte, which is where Le Sacre Coeur is based. The area around the Church is beautiful and there is so much to do. I would walk up all the stairs because it is such a beautiful walk, and the view while you're walking is brilliant! I'm sure I'll be very tired when the reach the top, but trust me, it'll be worth it. I'll take a tour round the Church and will definitely light a candle inside, if I get the chance.

I'll then wonder around the Montmarte area. Its home to many small cafes and artist studio's, so it'll be a lovely walk around the area and I'll have a nice lunch in one of the cafes. I would also buy lots of little souvenirs.
My next stop would be Notre Dame Cathedral. I've seen it from the outside many times, but have never been inside. I love the gothic look to it and would to inside for a tour.

I will then make my way back to the hotel and freshen up again. I'm sure I'll be very tired by this time! But after relaxing at the hotel for a while, I'll venture out again and see one of the most famous landmarks in the world: The Eiffel Tower! I've seen it once before, but would love to see it in the evening as well. I can imagine it to be a beautiful sight. I understand it's open until 11.45pm, so I would aim to go right to the top and see Paris at night.
Because I'm not too fussy over food, I would then find a nice, small restaurant/bar and have a nice dinner. I would aim for an early night because theres still so much to do the next day!

Day two would be just as fun. I would wake up very early and find a small cafe to eat breakfast. I would start the day with some freshly squeezed orange juice and some delicious croissants.
Then it would be off to La Louvre. I've never been to La Louvre before and I can imagine it to be an experience of a lifetime. My utmost priority would be to see the Mona Lisa. That picture has fascinated me my whole life and I would just go and admire it.

I won't stay too long at La Louvre, and will aim to leave at lunch. My lunch would be ever so delicious chocolatey crepes. I believe that would be the most perfect lunch ever.

Then my final stop would be shopping. I would go to Avenue Montaigne and Avenue des Champs-Elysées. Avenue Montaigne is known for all the designer shops it has, such as Chanel or Nina Ricci, whereas Avenue Des Champs-Elysees is known for having more high street chain stores. After shopping the afternoon away, I would go back to my hotel and grab my bags and make my way back to the station and then say Goodbye to the city of Paris.

Oh and at some point during the weekend, I would meet my dream guy and fall madly in love.

What would your Dream Parisian weekend consist of?

Sherin xx

P.S. If you get the opportunity to go to Paris don't forget to check out their tours site first, Le Nouveau Paris!

This is great! I actually lived in Paris for 3 months and I'm missing it everyday so to see you make a virtual trip is awesome. The Sacre Coeur is the most beautiful thing ever, I remember my window had the perfect view of it at night. For me, I would definitely focus more on the FOOD, hehe. Go to Angelina's for hot chocolate and La Duree for macaroons.
I love your outfits, especially the ear mufflers!

The hubby and I are planning to visit Paris next year. I hope it'll happen and I'll keep in mind what you've written here about the place to visit.

I've had the opportunity to study basic French before but I don't think I can recall any of it now.haha!

Love your Polyvore set. I'd definitely wear that ( especially the colorful sneakers) when I'm walking and running around Paris.:)

I have studied French all through high school (which I just finished!!!) and this post has motivated me to keep practicing the language so that one day I can visit there and I can live like the locals :D xx
