New Look

Once again we were given a peek at New Looks new 2009 'Idol' collection. I love the glam nd rock chic feel to it, with all the studs and black/metallic colours. The press release describes this collection as having a 'vibrant vintage rock look' and I couldn't agree more with this. New Look is one of my favourite shops, so I'm glad to see them go in this cool new direction. There are everything from studs to sequins, spikes to chains, making it a very cool collection. Here are a few favourites from the new range:

I love this dress so much. Its such a fun take on the LBD. The studs in the shapre of a heart around the bust are absolutely gorgeous and this would be a great dress for a night out. Just add a leather jacket on top and you have a killer outfit.

I love the girly, yet glamourous feel to this dress. You can't see it properly in the picture, but the straps are made from metallic chain, which looks really cool. I love the feminine look of the frilly hem and how amazing the fitting looks. This is definitely a great dress to wear everyday, for university or an afternoon out shopping.

How gorgeous are these shoes? Yet again, its feminine but slightly edgy, like with the dress above. These peep toe shoes have a suede look and a ruched cuff, as well as a leather bow around it. These are a perfect pair of heels that all girls should have, whether you're going on a date with the guy, or whether you're on a girls night out.

For the last few weeks, I've been looking for the perfect pair of heeled boots and I think I'm may have just found them. The second I saw these shoes, I had them paired up with that first heart studded dress. They look very cool and my wardrobe feels empty without them. The chains around it give a very 'rock chic' feel to them and these would be so much fun to wear.

The Idol collection had some amazing accessories from sequin bags to looped necklaces and all of them look perfect to wear with the rest of the collection, but my favourite had to be these glamourous pair of earrings. They have chained tassles hanging down from the earring, which adds the perfect accessory to the whole collection.

So, take a look at the collection and let us know your opinions. How would you wear all the above items and what are your favourites?

That frilly dress is really cute. I like the fact that you can layer it up during the day, and then take it straight to cocktails and dinner in the evening, only by losing your cardigan and maybe putting on sheer instead of opaque tights!

Those earrings are stunning. I would wear them with a LBD to add a little grunge and rock 'n' roll to such a classic, sophisticated look! :)
