Fashion in Politics: Cindy McCain

At the bottom of my Fashion in Politics posts, I ask whether anyone else has any ideas on fashionable politicians/wives. Well, Miss Neira recommended Cindy McCain. We don't know much about her here in the UK, but while researching her, it was clear that she had some style. I was particularly recommended to check out a yellow suit she wore, and have to admit it was gorgeous.
Clearly, Mrs McCain knows about fashion and wears high end designers, such as Carolina Herrara. What I love about her style is that she looks like she knows her age and figure and wears things flattering to it. I noticed that she wears more fitted clothing and has a very sophisticated style. Her looks are more classic and conservative. In the above pictures, you can see that she really likes her colours, which I find most women stray away from as they reach their 40's. She shows that colours work for lots of women and you shouldn't shy away from them.

Are there any other female politicians you think that should be added to this list?

She was voted Best Dressed Senior in high school and it doesn't hurt too that she comes from a very rich family and so she can pretty buy much everything that she wants.;)

she is the classic blonde beauty and her trim figure showcases the clothes that she wears. I read somewhere that she is an heiress :D How about Carla Bruni? Her style is impeccable too

How about the Argentinian President Cristina Kirchner?

Also did you know the Spanish Prime Minister has more women in his cabinet than men? I'd love to see a post on them!

I don't like Cindy McCain, but that's only because of politics. She is beautiful, and very graceful though. I am so glad that you posted Carla Bruni! She is my absolute favorite, she is so beautiful, and natural... and her style is so fitting for a french beauty.

love your blog, you're a sweetie

hope to hear from you
love love love

Not keen on the politics, but she does look great - it's so good to see an older woman dressing well and not giving in to aging (either in the "can't be bothered" way or the "I want to be perpetually young!" way). Not enough women do this!!
